About the owner
My name is Kay Darby Finch, the owner of KDF Music Connections, LLC and music has always been essential throughout my life. It began with listening to my parents’ diverse collection of records which then led me to start playing my first instrument with the school band program. I have been actively involved in music making for 50 years. That is half a century of amazing experiences! I have taught thousands of people how to play an instrument, lead various church music ministries and even owned a music store.
All these experiences have led me to one conclusion. Any person, at any age, can learn to
play a musical instrument. Scientific research has proven the great benefits of playing music. It actually makes children smarter and wards off diseases such as dementia and Alzheimer’s in older individuals.
Whether you want to play at Carnegie Hall or enjoy music in the comforts of your own home, we are here to connect with you! We have an incredible group of caring and passionate private music teachers who are ready to start you or your child on a personal journey through the amazing world of music.
