Max Class Size: 15 (ages 12 and up; students younger than 18 should have their legal guardian sign the course content acknowledgment form)
Prerequisite: able to use a computer and the internet to search for and download files; able to read traditional notation in at least one clef.
Description: Bring the music from your heart onto the page. In this online course, students will learn how to write music using MuseScore 3, an open-source music notation software. Gain practical knowledge when choosing instrumentation, assessing playability, and notation style. Learn if and how you can be paid for your compositions, arrangements, and performances.
